Founded in 2003, TelTel has successfully built a robust worldwide network to enable consumer electronics devices and value-added services to be fully interconnected, universally accessible, and interoperable on this network. TelTel was one of the first to adopt SIP as the choice standard to follow when SIP was still in its infancy because we believe in two values: 1. Open standard; 2. Managed peer-to-peer (P2P) network. Based on these two values, TelTel named its network PsipTN - Public SIP Transport Network, a deliberate emulation of PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network), to signify its availability to the general public through an open protocol and its ability to support any device, services, and users with end-to-end network solutions.

In 2004, TelTel launched its Soft Phone, a downloadable client software supporting Voice-Over-IP (VoIP) communications, presence and collaboration features to help build up the functionality and scalability of the PsipTN network. In the same year, TelTel launched the SVNO (SIP Virtual Network Operator) program to work with regional service partners in the US, Europe and Asia to further test the robustness of our network against some of the most demanding network environments in the world. To this date, TelTel hosts approximately 2 million registered Soft Phone and device users on PsipTN and one of the largest SIP-based user communities in the world.

Beginning in 2006, TelTel launched a series of strategic relationships with major brand name and OEM/ODM consumer electronics device manufacturers interested to tap into the PsipTN to address a variety of network management issues, customer service issues and usability issues in order to increase device sales and reduce customer service cost. This effort has resulted in the endorsement of PsipTN from major partners including D-Link and others. In 2007, TelTel coined the term "Device 2.0" and under the "Device 2.0" umbrella, device manufacturers who adopt PsipTN enjoy a host of benefits including device plug-n-play, auto firmware upgrade, firewall/NAT traversal and best media routing.

In addition to device support on the PsipTN, TelTel launched in 2008 a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) on top of PsipTN to further enable service providers to readily "plug-in" existing or user generated service solutions onto the PsipTN network. Through the PsipTN platform, virtually any PsipTN connected service solutions can operate over any PsipTN connected devices.

We look forward to working with device manufacturers to network enable their consumer electronics devices and application service providers to make their service solutions universally accessible to a host of new consumer electronics devices. Collectively, the end result is a revolutionary ecosystem where devices, services and users are all interconnected via the PsipTN to jointly deliver an extensive array of new solutions in a connected world.
